Leak Detection & Pipe Repair in Birmingham, AL
Burst pipes, water line leaks, slab leaks and whole-home repiping in Greater Birmingham, found and repaired by licensed plumbers.
Water where it should not be.
Some leaks announce themselves: a burst pipe, a stain spreading across a ceiling, water pooling in the yard. Others hide under the slab or behind a wall and show up as a bill that keeps climbing.
We find the source first, then repair it with as little disruption to the house as the leak allows.
Leak and pipe work is done by Autumn Air, which holds Alabama Master Plumber license #4414 and has served Greater Birmingham since 2016.
Leaks, lines and repiping.
Burst and leaking pipes
A hard freeze can split a pipe in an unheated space. Shut off the main, then call us.
Water lines and slab leaks
Leaks in the line from the street, or in pipes under the slab, located before anything is opened up.
Whole-home repiping
When an older system keeps leaking in new places, patching one section at a time stops making sense. We look at the whole system and tell you whether repair or repiping is the better spend.
Signs of a hidden leak.
Check your meter and call if you notice:
- A water bill higher than usual with no change in use
- The sound of running water when everything is off
- Warm or damp spots on the floor
- Wet patches or soft ground in the yard
- The water meter moving with every tap closed
- Low water pressure across the house
Leak questions.
What should I do if a pipe bursts?
Turn off the main water shutoff, switch off the water heater, and call us. Knowing where the main shutoff is before you need it saves a lot of water.
How do I know if I have a slab leak?
Warm spots on the floor, the sound of water with everything off, and a meter that keeps moving are the usual signs. We confirm it before anything is opened up.
How do I keep pipes from freezing?
Keep the heat on, open cabinet doors on outside walls, let a faucet drip on the coldest nights, and insulate pipes in unheated spaces.
Stop the water first.
Then book a visit, or call now if water is running.
